Matthew Quick is set to release his newest book, The Reason You’re Alive.
This book focuses on 68-year old David Granger, a Vietnam vet, who has suffered a car accident.
At the hospital, doctors find that he has a brain tumor.
Granger is instilled with a desire to fix wrongs that he committed in his past.
Foremost among those are his estranged son, Hank; his granddaughter, Ella; and a man he wronged during the war, Clayton.
Quick uses the book to show just how much our past can define us, especially the things that weigh heavy on our heart.
The Reason You’re Alive will be out on July 4.
